Happy New Year! Hope it's been a good on so far! It has been a great week! So Syster Larson and I got a hold of Lia (who has been gone for a couple of weeks because her grandpa died) and she asked us what she needed to do in order to be baptized. We told her that she is ready to be baptized and that she could be baptized on Sunday the 29th. She was so excited and said she was going to come to the church on Sunday at 10 in the morning. Well Sunday comes and Lia didn't show up. We called her a thousand times and she did not answer us. We don't know what happened. We had filled up the font and had everyone that was going to talk at her baptism waiting for her. We even had President Newell there. After waiting for a couple more minuets president told us that we should let everyone go home and stop filling up the font. It was so sad and discouraging but I know that one day Lia will be baptized and that maybe she wasn't ready to be baptized. It is all good.
On Monday I got a new companion Syster Clouse. She is the best person. She is very easy going and I like that. We giggle a lot. She is from mesa arizona and she goes home in six months so she knows what she is doing. This week we have not done much missionary work. On Monday I picked up Syster Clouse. Then on Tuesday we went to a New Years party at a senior couples house and then we went to Mary's for New Years Eve night. We got to stay up until 12:30 so it was pretty exciting. It sounded like a war zone here with all the fireworks going off. Then yesterday was New Years day a none proselyting day and today is p-day. so it has been a pretty good week.
I hope you all had a good New Years Eve. I hope you guys stayed up until midnight. Well I love you all and hope you have a great week. Talk to you on Monday!
Love Syster Christison
