The South

Hej Hej
Well it looks like you guys all had a good time playing cards. That sounds like so much fun! I miss those times and all of you! You guys always know how to party! I mean I was always the best one at it but what can you do! Well this week went by way fast. On Wednesday I went into Täby to pick up my new comp Syster Lowe (she is just fab) and then we went and picked up a short time missionary who will be here for 6 weeks. Her name is Syster Lövgren(she is also fab). So we are in a tri companionship and it is just a great time teaching the good people about the good word. Syster Lowe is from Ogden Utah and has been out for over more than a year. She goes home with Syter Larson and Syter Clouse. She is super nice and a great missionary. I have been lucky with companions! Syster Lövgren comes from umeå and helps us out with Swedish so much but even she says that it is really hard to understand the people down South. When I first got here it was like I was learning Swedish all over again. What can you do? My brain hurts by the end of the day but I am learning lots of Swedish and speaking more and more so it is all good. The branch here is really small but they are great people! My first member dinner here was with Isam who was recently baptized. He is the nicest member and willing to help out all the missionaries. We have a lot of progressing investigators here and I am so excited to meet with all of them! Life here is just grand and everything is just fab. I love and miss you all. Hope you all have a great Valentines Day! Great day! I got your cards and they made my day. I dont really know if they celebrate valentines day over here but we have Zone Training in Helsingborg so that will be a fun adventure. Just know that I love and miss you all so much. Sorry this is short but this week was kinda wierd because of transferred. Just know I am happy and life is grand!

Sisters

Hej Hej
Well I cannot believe that January is over! Surprisingly it went by way fast. So mother you guessed right i am being transferred to Kristianstad with Syster Lowe how did you know that? I will look out for that lady you told me about. Not gonna lie I am way nervous but at the same time excited. Apparently they speak differently down there but I hear it is gorge. I am leaving on Wednesday and I am so sad to leave Syster Clouse. I have never laughed so hard. I felt like I was just right at home with her. She would always make fun of my knuckles just like you guys would. She is probably one of the funniest people I know! I am also so sad that I am leaving Handen and Västerhanige they were such great wards but I am excited for the next adventure.

This week we met this guy named Henrick from Sweden. He is a gem! It was one of the best lessons I have been in. The spirit was so strong! He said that when we were talking to him that there was something special about us and that he wanted to change his life. It was just so great. WE also met with Lia again and the lesson was so great. We got a baptismal date with her for Febuary 14 and she said she was gonna come to church. It was a great lesson and she told Syster Clouse and I that it is impossible not to believe when we are teaching her! Unfortunatly we have not seen her since. She kills me!!! But one day one day she will be baptized.

The other night at a members house (Mary) she gave Syster Clouse and I some lip gloss that looked clear....well we put it on and it was bright red and then she says "The best thing about it is it never really comes off. oj då! Syster Clouse and I also made a fool of ourselves again. We were leaving the store and we walked up to the moving doors and they wouldn't open and we just looked at them for five minuetes and realized that people were going in and out of the other moving doors. We turned around and people were laught at us. What can you do about it?

Well just know that I love and miss you all so much. I hope you all have the best week because you are the best! Also Dougie you still owe me money from when I cleaned the basement for you! Anywho love you all lots.

Char Char

Hej Hej Hej Hej

It was so good to hear from all of you! First of all Charlie is the cutest baby in the entire world! You all look great too. He is getting so big. Well how is everything going in Utah? It sounds grand! Things in Sweden are just great!

Monday was P-day and Syster Clouse and I started the day out by fallin down a hill together. First off I fell at the top of the hill so Syster Clouse came over to help me and as we were walking down the hill Syster Clouse just face planted it and slid down the whole hill and then I went all the way down into a tree. It was a giggle and a gaggle. We both just got up and acted like nothing happen. Then as we were walking to the train Syster Clouse fell again. It so funny I know it may not seem funny but it is. We fall everyday...it is impossible not to fall I tell you. Especially with my weak ankles.

Tuesday was a great day finding some new peeps to teach the good word. We also had interviews with President Newell....such a wise man. He interviewed Syster Clouse and I together and it was just funny and kind of embarrassing. (He would asked us really hard questions) I think he has all of Preach My Gospel memorized word for word. He told me that I might be transferred next week which I was really bummed about because I really like where I am and love Syster Clouse but it would be great to go to another part of Sweden.

This week we met with some less actives Char Char and Inger. Inger informed us this last time that she likes the Elders better because they are easier to open up too...oj då and Char Char is the greatest lady. She is sometimes the only person that wants to meet with us. She is not all there and can say some cray cray things but she is giggle.

Well it is chilly chilly chilly. You asked how I stay warm and I dont really now. I wear several layers of socks and clothing. It is hard to talk to people at this time of year because they think we are crazy because we want to talk to them in the cold and about god. But there are always those ones that are prepared to listen to us and it is the best and makes it worth it.

Everything is just great here in Sweden. I am loving every min!! I have the best companion! I miss you all so much and hope you have the best week. I hope you are all staying warm back at home. I hear it is pretty cold in Utah. I dont know how I feel about cold weather. I am so happy and so glad to be here. The church is true!!!

The Sweden Temple

Hello Hello
How is everyone doing? I hope all is going swell for you guys because you are all swell. This week I am going to try to write more because Sys Clouse lauged at me when she saw how long my email was. I told her that this was a long email for me.

This week was great. Starting on Tuesday we went through the temple with this girl named Victoria. Syster Clouse visited her before in Örebro when she was less active. She came back to the church a couple of years ago and decided to go through the temple. It was just the greatest experience.  I love going to the temple and that was my first time in the Sweden temple.

On Wednesday I went on splits with the Syster Training Leader, Syster Faux. She is Syster Larson's best friend so that is funny. We had a great time teaching the people in Handen.

This week Syster Clouse and I met lots of great people! We got 4 new investigators this week. That is a miracle! I am so happy and they are all great humans. First we met KiKi from China, then Bismark from Uganda, then Flippa from Sweden, and Ali from Iraq. You teach the world over here. It is always nice to have people to teach since it is cold. I know i say it is cold every week but it is COLD. It's okay im over it! We have lots of snowball fights and Syster Clouse falls a lot so we are pretty entertained. I have only fallen a couple of times but it is so hard not to because everything is ice.

On Friday we went over to a new converts house and she cooked us some Thai food. I wasn't the biggest fan of it but it was a good experience.

I love being in Handen.  They have the greatest ward. They are all over missionary work. They help out the missionaries so much it is great. Lia is being silly and won't answer our phone calls anymore.... Dont worry we will not give up on her. We are teaching this guy named Ashraf from Jordan but he has been out of town for a couple of weeks but gets back this week so we will see what happens.

Life is just going swell here in Sweden and I am loving every min of it. Love you all and miss you all so much.

No Pants

Hej Hej
First of all HAPPY DAY OF BIRTH FATHER!!! I hope it is a good one and hope you have the BEST day because you are the BEST! Hope all your dreams come true and that you get some home depot gift cards!

Well I am so sad I can't believe Adele passed away. She was the greatest lady! I thought she would definatly make it until I got home. What am I gonna do when i get home?! I will miss her so much. That girl always knew how to party and have fun.

This week has been a great week...it finally snowed! I was really enjoying the weather now it is a bit chilly. Once the snow falls it just turns into to ice so it is so slippery everywhere! Syster Clouse was trying to do a trick on the ice the other day but her feet came out from under her and she slipped and fell...it was a giggle.

The work is a little slow right now but life is good. We visit a lot of less active members which I love. There are great people and they like to visit with the missionaries. Just need to give them a push and get them back to church. This one lady can't come to church because she has to watch bingo at that hour. People People.

The other day Syster Clouse and I went and did some drop-bys and this girl came to the door with NO PANTS! She had nothing on and Syster Clouse and I just looked at each other and said we will come back... Ya never know whats gonna happen when you knock on someones door. I was scared...

After that happened we went and visited a member and took her cute dog on a walk. The neighbors stopped us and asked us when the missionaries got a dog. I wish we could have dogs. This dog was so cute but it got a hold of a rib from some deceased animal and we had to tackle the dog so it wouldn't choke.

We got a hold of Lia this week and met with her and she told us that she wants to be baptized still and then she told us that she moved in to her apartment with her boyfriend. We are not giving up! This has been such a rollercoaster one thing after another. I know how you guys feel now when I dont do thinks you ask me to do but I know that everything will work out.

So I always think my Swedish is getting better but yesterday this girl told us that her son fell and broke his collar bone and I said, "Oh how fun is that"! Syster Clouse started laughing and said no that is bad. What can you do?

I hope you guys have a fantastic week. It has been a fantastic week for me serving the Lord! It is fab! Love you all lots and miss you all.

love your favorite person

Syster Clouse

Hello Hello Hello
How is everybody doing? Hope life is grand.
Well it was a grand week!!!!!!!!! Not too much happened this week but I just love my new companion. She reminds me of my friends so I feel like I can just be myself. We just giggle and gaggle and just work well together. It's been pretty warm here in Sweden which is weird. I sometimes forget that it is January and I am in Sweden. Apparently this is not normal. What can you do?

Sorry I dont have much to say since we just had p-day. We got a hold of Lia (the girl that didnt show up to her baptism) we are going to meet with her this week. We are gonna wait a couple weeks before we have another baptism but she will be baptized soon.

Yesterday Syster Clouse and I contacted this guy on the street and he turned to me and said  your companion has so much potential and could be really smart. And then I turned and asked if I could be smart and  he said no but your friend (sys clouse) can be. I was like alright sounds good. People are funny funny funny.

I wish you were all here in Sweden with me it is so great and the people are great. Thank you for being the greatest people. I love and miss you all so much and hope you have a fab week because you are fab!

LOVE,
EMI JANE

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Hope it's been a good on so far! It has been a great week! So Syster Larson and I got a hold of Lia (who has been gone for a couple of weeks because her grandpa died) and she asked us what she needed to do in order to be baptized. We told her that she is ready to be baptized and that she could be baptized on Sunday the 29th. She was so excited and said she was going to come to the church on Sunday at 10 in the morning. Well Sunday comes and Lia didn't show up. We called her a thousand times and she did not answer us. We don't know what happened. We had filled up the font and had everyone that was going to talk at her baptism waiting for her. We even had President Newell there. After waiting for a couple more minuets president told us that we should let everyone go home and stop filling up the font. It was so sad and discouraging but I know that one day Lia will be baptized and that maybe she wasn't ready to be baptized. It is all good.

On Monday I got a new companion Syster Clouse. She is the best person. She is very easy going and I like that. We giggle a lot. She is from mesa arizona and she goes home in six months so she knows what she is doing. This week we have not done much missionary work. On Monday I picked up Syster Clouse.  Then on Tuesday we went to a New Years party at a senior couples house and then we went to Mary's for New Years Eve night. We got to stay up until 12:30 so it was pretty exciting. It sounded like a war zone here with all the fireworks going off. Then yesterday was New Years day a none proselyting day and today is p-day. so it has been a pretty good week.

I hope you all had a good New Years Eve. I hope you guys stayed up until midnight. Well I love you all and hope you have a great week. Talk to you on Monday!
Love Syster Christison
